Salary Range


$78,000.00 depending on

Essential Functions


The Business Analyst supports the University as a liaison between business
units and technical teams to achieve process improvement, documentation, and address issues alongside department end users. This position
will provide support to the Department of Business Affairs in development, implementation and management of operational enhancements for the
University as a whole through collaboration with operations, management and IT.

  1. Responsible for assessing, documenting, and
    improving business processes across multiple applications, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency.
  2. Translate business
    needs into technical requirements to ensure help desk tickets are concise before submission.
  3. The role supports usage, upgrades,
    application to business process, using various applications including but not limited to; UTShare PeopleSoft (Finance, Human Resources &
    Campus Solutions), Touchnet, Flywire, SAHARA, etc.
  4. Oversee the analysis of business requirements, user needs, and application
    functionalities to develop effective solutions and recommendations.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders,
    ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to the
    applications in use, leveraging this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
  7. Monitor and assess the performance of applications,
    proactively identifying issues and collaborating with relevant teams to implement solutions.

Required
Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, management or related field.
  2. One (1) years’ experience with process
    improvement initiatives and project management.
  3. Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think
    critically and make data-driven decisions.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex
    technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications


  1. Experience using UTShare PeopleSoft
    FMS/HCM/CS.

Schedule

Generally, the normal
work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual
holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may
differ with some departments.

Standard Working Conditions



1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds
on an occasional basis.
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to
continuously.
4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties
including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include
extensive wrist and hand movement.
6. Standard working conditions may differ depending on department and occupation
