The Catering
Delivery Assistant is responsible for the daily operation of catering delivery contracts and ensures that our quality standards are
maintained. This includes the driving and operating of the department’s vans. This position is also responsible for the food delivery
services in the building and for remote set ups. This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster
the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. This person will focus on our Core Values: Safety

Duties and
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Deliver catering orders to various campus locations,
including academic buildings, residence halls, administrative offices, and event venues. - Load, transport, unload, and organize
food, beverages, supplies, and catering equipment. - Set up buffet lines, beverage stations, meeting refreshments, and event displays
according to catering specifications. - Verify the accuracy and completeness of orders before delivery and upon setup.
- Maintain food quality, temperature control, and safe handling practices during transportation and service.
- Provide courteous
and professional customer service to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and guests. - Assist with event breakdown, equipment
retrieval, and cleanup following catered events. - Operate carts, vans, or other approved campus delivery vehicles safely and
responsibly. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering storage areas, vehicles, and equipment.
- Communicate
delivery schedules, special requests, and service issues to supervisors and catering staff. - Follow university policies, health and
safety regulations, and food service standards. - Support other Dining Services operations as assigned
Minimum
Qualifications
Formal Education:
- High School Diploma/equivalent or 2+ years of food service
experience required.
Specific Job Knowledge:
- Serv Safe certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge
of food service overall. - Valid PA Driver License required with a good driving record and no traffic violations. Must be able to
meet and maintain VU driving privileges as outlined by Villanova’s Risk Management’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy for Driver’s of University
Vehicles.

Salary Posting Information
$18.25 per hour. Shift differential for qualifying
shifts.
