State University is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual for the role of Chief of Campus Police. This
full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safety and well-being of our vibrant campus community. SC State’s
Chief of Campus Police will plan, analyze, and direct the command of operations of assigned law enforcement divisions at the university.



As Chief of Campus Police, you will supervise, direct, and maintain a secure and orderly environment for students,
faculty, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include patrolling the campus, responding to emergencies, investigating incidents,
enforcing laws and university regulations, and providing assistance to the campus community.

The Chief of Campus
Police
establishes and maintains a positive liaison and working relationship with other law enforcement agencies. No more than one
negative report from another law enforcement agency. Interacts with the student body and staff in a professional manner. Create an
environment of respect and compliance. Develops and maintains professional working relationships with co-workers and peers. Accept
constructive correction with an attitude of improvement. Performs related duties as required. Perform related duties in a timely and
efficient manner.



Special Requirements

Certification by the Law Enforcement Training Council in accordance
with Section 23-23-40 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976


Minimum Requirements

A bachelor’s degree
and experience supervising law enforcement personnel at a public law enforcement agency.
