Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES COULD INCLUDE:
- Circulation: Appropriately shelving all
materials, including board books, DVDs, paperbacks, etc. This includes preparing materials for shelving and tidying up in general. This
could include straightening materials or picking up after customers to make the area presentable to the public. - Program Support:
Assisting in work that supports library programming such as set up or take down of program supplies, preparing materials to be used in
programs, organizing supplies, supporting staff in implementation, and participation in library programs. - Administration: Providing
computer support, using Microsoft Office suite of tools when appropriate. This work could include sorting, organizing and/or alphabetizing
documents, copying or scanning files, and other administrative and clerical tasks to support team productivity and organizational
efficiency. - Additional work as assigned by the Supervisor.
Desired skills, qualifications, and
experience:
- Strong literacy & communication skills.
- Comfortable with the use of technology. Familiarity with
MS Office suite is helpful. - Demonstrates a strong work ethic and proactive engagement in assigned responsibilities.
(Action-oriented). - Responds positively to guidance and instructions, demonstrating a willingness to learn. (Approachable).
- Actively engages with colleagues to promote a harmonious and productive workplace, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a

Additional
requirements:
- Complete an Online volunteer application.
- In person interview with library staff member.
- Completion of a background check.
Location: To be determined depending on availability and schedule.
- CML has 23 locations –
ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE CURRENT FRANKLIN STUDENTS, AND HAVE FEDERAL WORK STUDY
