Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares
food on hot or cold production line, adhering to the recipe’s method of
preparation. - Prepares
food items from recipes for restaurant on a daily basis. - Coordinates
food preparation needs and ordering needs with supervisor and p.m. staff. - Performs
food preparation tasks such as pizza, sandwiches, salad making and
beverage preparation, following written standardized recipes. Assists cold
food production when possible. - Cleans
and processes fruits and vegetables according to recipe’s specifications. - Weighs,
labels, dates and stores all food items in designated areas, preventing
cross contamination of food products. - Cleans
countertops, windows, walls, shelves, drain screens, floor mats, cooking
utensils, grills, oven hoods and other equipment used in food preparation. - Empties
sanitizer and disposes of trash. - Greats
and serves customers in a friendly courteous manner. - Works
harmoniously with co-workers, supervisors and management. - Actively
solves problems as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting,
moving and transporting up to 50lbs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of food service operations including large quantity food preparation, job content, practices and procedures.
- Skills in operating various institutional and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Ability to effectively communicate.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.

- 2 years of experience in high volume pizza restaurant.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
