Position Information

Description & Details:

Performing daily custodial duties required for the routine cleaning and upkeep of buildings. Performs duties related to General Facilities maintenance. Perform custodial work required for the routine cleaning and upkeep of buildings; move furniture and equipment, collect waste and recycling. Perform other custodial related duties such as cleaning, renovating and renewing floor surface finishes; clean windows, walls, carpets, woodwork, offices, labs, classrooms and restrooms; clean and dust furnishings; maintain snow and ice. Assist in the set up and tear down of special events.



Work Schedule: AM Shifts



Hiring Range: $36,608.00 to $37,000.00


Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of materials, equipment and methods used in the cleaning and upkeep of buildings

  • Ability to follow communicated instructions and work independently after instructions


  • Must possess computer usage skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills


  • Satisfactory demonstration of individual’s ability to meet minimum qualifications

  • Good oral and written communication skills



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in university or school custodial services


  • Minimum of one-year custodial work experience
