Duties
Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Financial and Business Affairs/College Treasurer, the Director of Accounts Receivable oversees and manages operations of student, faculty and staff accounts.
This position facilitates key departmental functions in the Cashier’s Office including: tuition and fee billing, payment processing, receivables management, third-party billings, installment payment plans, disbursement of financial aid and credit balance refunds, IRS Form 1098-T, student e- commerce systems, and provides training and support for the Ellucian Colleague Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipt modules, and associated third-party systems. In addition, this position also ensures compliance with college, state and federal regulations, and standard accounting procedures. The Director of Accounts Receivable is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
Three to five years’ Accounting and/or auditing experience, preferably in a public school, college, local government, not-for-profit or banking organization, required.
Knowledge of fund accounting practices and procedures required; above average written and verbal communication skills; above-average organizational skills; knowledge of computerized accounting systems; considerable knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of general accounting; some knowledge of the application of data processing to Accounting transactions.

- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable federal and state regulations and guidelines.
- Knowledge of and skills in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent skills in analytical Problem-solving and decision making.
- Ability to handle and process confidential and sensitive student information with discretion.

Monday-Friday
8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Salary/Wage
$80,553-107,464 (plus exceptional benefits)
