Summary of Job Duties:
The Director of the Card Office
provides leadership and administrative oversight for the University’s comprehensive identification card program. This role is responsible
for the management of the University’s credentialing system, and the integration of card technologies with campus partners such as Housing,
Dining, and Information Technology. The Director will play a key leadership role in shaping the future of the University’s credential
ecosystem, including strategic adoption of emerging technologies to enhance access, security and the student experience.

The
Director ensures a user-centric experience for students, faculty, staff, and affiliates through fostering a culture of customer service and
continuous improvement.


Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and
maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum
Qualifications
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited
    institution of higher education
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a university card office,
    or a related high-volume operations environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing professional staff and departmental
    budgets
  • Proficiency with enterprise-level ID industry software (e.g., Atrium, Transact, CBORD)

Preferred
Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience working
    at a large, research institution with complex stakeholder needs
  • Advanced knowledge of NFC technology, mobile wallet integration, and
    data integrations
  • Deep understanding of FERPA, HIPAA (as it relates to ID data), and PCI-DSS compliance

Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities
(KSA’s):

  • Knowledge of budget development and financial systems (e.g. Workday)
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and communication skills to navigate a diverse campus ecosystem
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to understand
    data flows between systems
  • Leadership skills to manage full time and part time staff as well as campus wide
    partnerships
  • Ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven
    decision-making and financial forecasting
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple technical and administrative
    dependencies
