Description: The Employee Relations Manager /Training Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and is
directly responsible for managing employee relations, performance management, employee and supervisory training, employee engagement
activities, and EEOC programs. Provides direct strategic HR guidance in the area of complex employee relations matters, disciplinary
actions, and grievances. Manages and conducts internal investigations. Functions as Deputy Title IX Coordinator for the HR division.
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. Three (3) years of experience in employee
relations or human resources management. The ability to demonstrate progressive experience in managing the employee relations functions in a
Human Resources Department Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver’s
license and safe driving history are required.
Preferred Requirements: PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.
Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of the principles and practices of HR Management. Knowledge of HR legal, regulatory and compliance
issues related to employee relations. Knowledge of and experience administering/managing Human Resources programs, policies and processes –
including EEO and Title IX. Ability to evaluate policies and processes and to discern the need for change. Effective analytical and
interviewing skills. Ability to develop and deliver training programs with effective presentation skills; work with attention to detail and
accuracy; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with
administrators, faculty, staff, colleagues and the public. Discretion, confidentiality and exercise of good judgement is essential.
Hire Range: $60,000 – 65,000
University Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
