per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends

Salary: $66,000 annually

Position Summary

Under general supervision, with latitude for independent judgment, designs, develops, and delivers data models,
dashboards, and analytical reports within enterprise data environments using business intelligence and analytics tools, including emerging
technologies, to support data-driven decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collaborates with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders to assess business needs and support the development of
    business intelligence and analytics solutions.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends business intelligence tools, technologies,
    standards, and best practices; participates in the implementation, configuration, and integration of BI platforms with enterprise systems,
    databases, and applications.
  • Designs, develops, tests, documents, and maintains business intelligence assets including reports,
    dashboards, data models, semantic layers, metadata, visualizations, and portal interfaces.
  • Assists in the design and enhancement of
    databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes to ensure data quality, interoperability, and compatibility with BI
    solutions.
  • Develops and delivers end-user documentation and training materials; provides technical support, troubleshooting, and
    performance optimization for BI tools and solutions.
  • Promotes awareness and effective use of business intelligence tools and
    solutions across the university and relevant departments.
  • Utilizes productivity, analytics, and AI-assisted tools to improve
    efficiency, data analysis, and solution development, as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and demonstrates the
    ability to learn and use institutional and enterprise software systems.
  • Provides guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring to team
    members, including junior staff, as appropriate.
  • Complies with all State and University policies and procedures.
  • Performs
    other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:


Education:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college of university within area of assigned responsibility.


and

Experience: Two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:


Experience building reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics in an enterprise
reporting environment.

Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data from relational databases.


Experience
creating dashboards or visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.

Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, metadata
management, and ETL processes.


Hands-on experience using modern productivity or AI-assisted tools to support data analysis and
reporting work.

Experience using PeopleSoft and Ellucian Banner to support enterprise reporting and
analytics.
