Responsible for assisting in the review of financial aid applications, scholarship programs, and campus-based federal grants. This
position is responsible for first-contact with students and parents on a daily basis. Responsible for daily deposit work for the business
office. Start date: April 6, 2026
Responsibilities
- Assist students in preparation, processing, and
corrections of FAFSA; - Advise students and parents regarding eligibility, program requirements, alternative resources;

Assist the director with payment of eligible financial aid to student accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies and errors in
a timely manner; - Complete verification of selected students for accuracy within federal guidelines;
- Assist with the
application of academic, athletic, and other outside scholarship programs ensuring accuracy and efficiency of awards; - Assist with
the selection of campus-based award recipients for federal work study - Assist with administering the official and unofficial
withdrawal policy including the Return to Title IV process; - Assists with the satisfactory academic progress process, conduct
semester meetings with committee and communicate results to students affected; - Assist with the verification of private loans for
students within applicable guidelines; - Represent the university at various community and/or high school meetings; promotes
existing and new programs and/or policies; - Backup Financial Aid Clerk as needed;
- Assist Director with other
responsibilities as needed; - Complete daily deposit reports and preparations for the business office;
- Can be exposed to a
variety of weather conditions for periods of time; - Ability to communicate in a courteous manner;
- Other duties as
assigned by the department, vice president, or president.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION, TRAINING
AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Associate’s degree. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of two years of related experience. - Self-directed with effective organizational skills;
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions;
- Strong computer literacy;
- Ability to analyze data;
- Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Excel and
Word - Ability to read, speak and understand English well;
- Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example.
- Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community
- Demonstrated
willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible - Must be able to lift more than 50-lb. objects; frequent bending,
stooping, and walking.
