Summary of Job Duties:
Primary
cashier for the University and first line customer service.



Qualifications:

Required Education and/or
Work Experience:
Minimum qualifications include a formal education equivalent to a high school diploma; plus, six months experience in a
clerical field or related area. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.



Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Experience with Workday, banking and or cashiering.

Summary of Job
Duties:


  • Responsible for primary cashiering operations to include managing and balancing a cash drawer.

  • Assist students with questions or concerns about their student account.


  • Corresponds by email or mail with
    students about refund checks and customers outside the University about checks received.

  • Receipts a variety of checks, some
    of which are student payments, outside scholarships, departmental deposits and student organization deposits.


  • Responsible for
    maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to
    subordinates.

  • Works with Finance staff in researching issues and ensuring proper coding of receipts.


  • Requires
    consistent on-time attendance.

  • Other duties as assigned.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform
the job successfully, the following competencies are required for the essential functions of this position:

  • Knowledge of
    generally accepted accounting policies and procedures


  • Knowledge of general information technology concepts and various
    software

  • Knowledge of customer service techniques

Special Job Dimensions: Work performed primarily in an office setting.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee
frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision
when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 10 pounds. Routine work
schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional overtime.
