Position Summary:
The Food Service Coordinator position will provide leadership, guidance and direction to Campus dining staff, Classified and Student employees. Responsible for coordination, Hiring and training student employees in Campus Dining areas as needed including Dining Hall, Retail and catering.
Works in Production as needed. Make staff adjustments when staff are absent. Ensure care as well in sanitation and safety, and to ensure that customers receive the highest levels of service. The position assumes the supervisory responsibility of the Dining areas as needed when overseeing shifts or in absence of Manager. This position will adhere to all WOU and WOU Dining policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications: Please ensure your application materials clearly demonstrate how you meet the following:

  • 1-2 years of retail experience
  • 1-2 years of knowledge in the operation and general maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment
  • 1-2 years of knowledge of food service safety and sanitation procedures
  • 1-2 years of experience with computerized menu, recipe, and payroll systems
  • Divers License and the ability to operate State of Oregon vehicles in accordance with all state policies and regulations
  • Provide or participate in relevant training to support job performance
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when working with team members and customers
  • Exhibit leadership abilities, including guiding and supporting others
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
