Position Description
Supervises and directs work
involving direction of employees involved in the preparation and replenishment of food and/or custodial duties of the food service
areas.

About the Department

Major/Essential Functions


  • Exhibits the ability to perform routine tasks consistently.
  • Knows
    and applies food safety policies and procedures for department.
  • Prepare a variety of foods such as meats, vegetables, desserts,
    according to customers’ orders or supervisors’ instructions, following approved procedures.
  • Performs cashier duties, supervises
    cashiers, and mobile ordering area.
  • Exhibits the ability to operate and clean food service equipment without
    supervision.
  • Exhibits the ability to control inventories of food, equipment, small wares and report shortages to designated
    personnel.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge and ability in food preparation, equipment use, customer service, sanitation, and safety
    procedures.
  • Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers.
  • Supervise
    employees and participate and monitor food prep, assign employee duties for the day.
  • Train workers in food preparation and in
    service, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or the equivalent plus
two (2) years experience in large scale commercial or institutional food operations; additional experience may substitute for education on a
year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to learn the care and use of basic food service equipment and kitchen
utensils. Ability to learn routine methods and practices of food preparation and services. Ability to learn health hazards in food
preparation, service and necessary precautionary measures. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other
employees and supervisors. Ability to understand and carry out oral instructions.



Pay Range
$13.00 – $16.92 –
$20.82
