Job Description

A Prepared Food Associate is responsible for preparing and
packaging fresh grab-and-go food items, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, fruit cups, and other cold menu selections, ensuring quality,
freshness, and proper presentation for customers.

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and assemble grab-and-go food items such as sandwiches, wraps,
    salads, fruit cups, and other cold menu offerings according to standardized recipes and daily production lists.
  • Read and follow the
    daily production sheet to prepare the correct menu items and quantities.
  • Wash, peel, and hand-cut ingredients such as vegetables,
    fruits, cheeses, and proteins using proper knife skills and safe food-handling practices.
  • Portion and package prepared items neatly
    for grab-and-go service.
  • Print and apply product labels accurately, ensuring items are properly identified and dated according to
    food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized prep area while following all sanitation and food safety
    standards.
  • As grab-and-go production decreases later in the week, assist with additional kitchen prep including making croutons,
    baking cookies, preparing dressings, making granola, and completing other assigned tasks.
  • Perform other food preparation duties as
    requested by kitchen managers or supervisors.
  • Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working and
    shopping environment.
  • Effectively communicate with coworkers to make sure everything you need is ready or you are able to do it on
    your own.
  • Operate equipment (e.g., box cutter, knives, slicers, wrappers, scales, processor, fryer, boaster, ovens, compactor,
    highboy cart, tongs, steamer, food processor, cleaning utensils, shrink wrappers, decorating tube, oven racks and hot cases) according to
    company guidelines.
  • Follow basic product handling procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all department
    equipment.
  • Gain and demonstrate a high level of operational execution, product skills and process skills.
  • Ensure consistent
    execution of all Department standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Plan work duties appropriately during the scheduled shift to
    accomplish all assigned tasks. Maintain high cleanliness standards; clean as you go, inclusive of washing, cleaning, sweeping,
    mopping.
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines; comply with and reinforce all food safety and safety
    regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs; report all issues and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
  • Assist
    general team members as needed.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this
    position.


Requirements

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Physical
    demands include standing, walking on uneven surfaces, reaching, bending, and lifting 3-25 lbs., with occasional lifting over 50 lbs.;
    pushing/pulling heavy objects; and working in coolers or freezers.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service
    skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training is a plus.
