ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern
Illinois College is accepting applications for the SWIC full-time, grant-funded position of ATS Dispatcher. These positions are covered
under the agreement between the College and Local 6600 IFT/AFT, AFL/CIO. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as positions
become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois
College, this is a full-time position funded by external funds. This position is responsible for the full operation of the ATS
driver/vehicle dispatching function. This position will ensure accurate, timely scheduling of routes. Assist the Administration Team as
necessary, with the overall administration and development of the transportation program. Responsible for carrying out college policy,
personnel procedures and operation polices as set forth by Southwestern Illinois College. Responsible for maintaining and insuring timely
and accurate flow of information between the ATS administration, drivers and other team members. Ability to work an irregular work schedule
(afternoon/evening/weekends) as required. This position is contingent upon external funds.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate degree in appropriate computer disciplines and one year of experience using
computers in appropriate applications or high school diplomat/GED and three years of experience using computers in appropriate applications
required.
2. Two years’ experience working in a transportation dispatching/scheduling position
preferred.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$25.22 per hour, 40 hours per week
