General Cardiologist Needed in Beautiful Western, NC

UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County, NC. Our 137-bed licensed acute care hospital, which includes 110 medical and 27 psychiatric is a member of the UNC Health System. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. UNC Health Medical Groupprovides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to the surrounding market from thirteen separate medical park locations throughout the county. The Caldwell team is seeking a general medical cardiologist.

General Description:

• Full-time, 4-5 clinic days per week; Inpatient/Outpatient with shared call
• UNC Heart & Vascular- 401 Mulberry Street SW, Lenoir, NC 28645
• Cardiac rehab is currently housed in the clinic with plans to expand to another site and add a pulmonary component.
• A brand new state-of-the-art Heart Center attached to the hospital with pre/post patient bays opening in 2026
• Staff: employs 3 physicians (2 cardiologists and 1 vascular surgeon) and is recruiting for an EP physician.

Services the practice currently offers:

• Cardiac Catheterization
• Cardiology Consultations – Inpatient and Office
• Echocardiograms and ETT – Exercise Treadmill Test
• Non-emergent Angioplasty
• Nuclear Stress Tests, Pacemaker Implantation
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) (Angioplasty & Stenting)
• Percutaneous Peripheral Vascular Interventions (PVI) (Angioplasty & Stenting)
• Radial Cardiac Catheterization
• Resources to Help You Quit Smoking or Using Tobacco Products
• TEE – Transesophageal Echocardiogram
• Transthoracic & Transesophageal echocardiography
• Vascular Ultrasound Imaging Diagnosis
