Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six months cleaning experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Cleans surfaces, floors, and inventory.
- Maintains refuse and recyclables.
- Participates in planned, preventative, and unexpected work.
- Maintains safe working environment, including responsible practices and risk mitigation.
- Maintains equipment and reports maintenance and supply needs.
Building/ Grounds Specialist II (KA10/61122818/FTE-S01160P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: GEN04. Salary range: $30,700.00- $39,900.00. Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Minimal overtime required. This position is considered essential personnel and required to participate in campus-wide emergencies such as weather and structural emergencies. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Must understand how to collaborate within a team. Must understand how to mitigate risks and follow safety procedures. Must be able to multi-task, make good decisions, and maintain working relationships. Must have knowledge of cleaning tools, equipment, products, and techniques. Must be able to wear variety of personal protection equipment, including footwear, gloves, mask, eye protection, and other. Must be able to communicate, written and oral, with variety of stakeholders. Must be able to learn, problem-solve, and make safe decisions. Must be able to utilize technology, software, and devices to manage and document work. Must be able to drive a golf cart.
