HUMAN RESOURCES
ASSISTANT
, McGovern Institute for Brain Research, to provide high-level administrative and operational support to the
Human Resources Business Partner. This role serves as a key point of contact for general HR inquiries and supports a wide range of HR
activities, including appointments and renewals, onboarding and offboarding, personnel records, recruitment coordination, visa
documentation, employee data tracking, and special projects. Responsibilities include preparing HR correspondence; maintaining electronic
personnel files and HR databases; supporting building access, guest accounts, ID/access updates, and internal systems; tracking postdoctoral
documentation; managing staff affiliate appointments and renewals; maintaining MITemps records; supporting documentation for minors and high
school participants; assisting with J-1 and OPT visa processes; generating reports and tracking documents; and contributing to HR process
improvements. The position requires discretion, sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential
information.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High school diploma; a
minimum of three years of relevant administrative or HR experience; excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational,
time-management, verbal, and written communication skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision; strong
problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and professional email communication.
PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree; or familiarity with MIT administrative processes and MIT experience.



This position is in
person 5 days a week, with the option for 1 day remote after a 6-month probationary period.
