A one-time Retention Bonus Opportunity of $750 is available and will be discussed at time of

THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS ASSOCIATED WITH INTERMITTENT STATUS. Position should exhibit demonstrated safe driving practices,
strong interpersonal communication skills and a customer-care oriented approach. Position will be required to work with scheduling software
at times and should exhibit a willingness to learn new technologies.
The FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier
Safety Administration) requires any person applying for employment as an operator of a commercial motor vehicle to provide employment
history documentation at the time of application. Employment history is required for a period of 10 years preceding the date of application
with specific reporting requirements as outlined related to any current & prior commercial motor vehicle operation:
- A list of
the names and addresses of previous employers for 10 years preceding the date of application for which the applicant was an operator of a
commercial motor vehicle, including dates of employment, and reason for leaving employment.
By providing this documentation
the applicant certifies that all information furnished is true and complete and understands that in accordance with FMCSA section 383.35, c information provided may be used and previous employers may be contacted by Ohio University for
the purpose of verifying and investigating applicant work history.
A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and airbrake endorsements is required.

Department Summary
The Transit Driver supports chartered travel services for university faculty, staff,
students, and visitors which may include out of state and multi-day travel. Position may also help support fixed route, on-demand,
accessibility & special event transportation programming. May operate a variety of vehicle types including 30-55 passenger buses, 14
passenger shuttle buses, passenger vans, and sedans. Provides superior customer service and safe, efficient transport to customers with
adherence to all university, state, and federal laws and regulations. Assists with luggage loading as needed. Performs routine vehicle
inspection and vehicle detailing/cleaning activities and maintains proper transportation documentation to ensure compliance with safety and
operating standards. Successful candidates will be required to successfully pass physicals, background checks, and drug/alcohol screenings
during course of employment.
A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with
passenger and airbrake endorsements is required.
Position Profile
Monitors campus
transportation and parking activities and compliance with established policies. Responsible for overseeing permit parking, parking
enforcement, event transportation, business transportation, campus transit service, safety and training, and facility and operations
maintenance.
Level Summary

meet specific needs of an assignment. May supervise or oversee the work of other TAS and/or student
employees.

Physical Requirements
This role
is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and
programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of job functions, requires a high school
diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience. Certain positions may require Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Pay Rate: Fully salary range is $14.65 – $22.71 per hour and the target salary range is $14.65- $18.68
per hour commensurate with education and experience. A one-time Retention Bonus Opportunity of $750 is available and will be discussed at
time of hire.

Work Schedule
This intermittent
position is scheduled on an as-needed basis and may not exceed 1,000 hours within a rolling 12-month period. Flexible scheduling is
available, with shift offerings typically available Monday through Friday between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend shifts
may be required to support special events and operational needs.
