Job Summary/Basic
Function


Business & Operations Manager, Paz Center

10-month position; on campus. 35-hour weeks with reduced-hour
schedule during January, February, July, and August. Evening and weekend work may be required. This is not a remote position.



The
Business & Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of The Paz Center. Responsibilities include maintaining
the booking system for overnight stays and events, overseeing billing and contracts, developing budgets to identify revenue opportunities,
and producing regular reports.

Additional responsibilities include making sure that all emergency items are functional, addressing
minor maintenance needs, and supporting cleaning, upkeep and event set up. The Business & Operations Manager will be cross trained with the
Experience Manager to ensure a VIP experience for all visitors.



  • Data Management: Assist EM with booking system for
    overnight stays and events. Oversee billing, satisfaction surveys and contracts. Develop contracts with General Counsel as needed.
  • Budget Management & Special Projects (paver, promotional items): Develop budgets and identify opportunities
    for revenue. Set strategy to manage, meet and project revenue goals. Create packages and other sales opportunities.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain operational dashboards and provide weekly, monthly, and annual reporting on
    occupancy, revenue, guest satisfaction, and budget performance. Develop lead measures with EM and report on annual goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Be sure all emergency items are in working order (smoke alarms, emergency lights, fire
    extinguisher, etc) Identify minor maintenance needs in and around property (change lights, paint touch ups, gardening, etc) and create work
    orders – Identify and document priority maintenance needs. Coordinate cleaning and upkeep of all areas of the facility with contracted
    housekeeping and maintenance as needed. Ensure compliance with applicable safety, insurance, facility use, and institutional
    policies.
  • Guest Experience Serve as back up to Experience Manager. Assist EM with reservation requests and
    reply to email correspondence. Meet guests to check in and tour the center as needed. Demonstrate strong ownership, responsiveness, and
    commitment to guest satisfaction.


Other Duties:

In the event of staff shortage, the Paz Business Manager may
occasionally have to engage in housekeeping or set up activities to ensure guests can check in or events can start in a timely fashion.


Serve as a member of the College Advancement team.

Maintain relationships with vendors, caterers, facilities, and others that
work in or use the center.


With EM continue to develop and revise standard operating procedures.

Inventory and order
operating supplies including but not limited to essential overnight items, guest experience giveaways and food for upcoming house run
events.
