Job Description
This position includes
basic food preparation (ie. building sandwiches/pizza, etc.) service (plating food), and/or sanitation tasks. Demonstrate procedures for
food preparation (e.g., roasting, sauteing, frying, baking, steaming, mixing; knife skills) and equipment operation.
Prepare food
according to instructions. Follow proper food handling techniques. Assist in completing the Serving Line Worksheets. Maintain a clean,
sanitary, safe, and secure working area. Set up service/preparation areas as assigned. Provide high-quality service to customers; assist in
meeting the department’s customer service objectives. Direct, help train, and assist student employees in food preparation and service.
Clean and replenish the service/preparation areas, dining room, and dishwashing/pot-and-pan areas during and after service. Complete
required training. Help the department constantly improve and reach its vision. Perform other duties as
assigned.
Shift
Monday-Friday from 9:30am-6pm or 10-6:30pm
Minimum Qualifications
A job offer for this position is contingent on passing a physical examination to determine if the candidate possesses the physical
capabilities necessary to perform the essential functions.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Six months
experience in the preparation and service of food in an institutional or commercial food service facility. - Knowledge of basic
food preparation, including basic knife skills, and service and sanitation methods. - Ability to handle and lift heavy kitchen
utensils and supplies (e.g. 40 pounds) - Good physical health.
- Customer service and supervisory experience with a desire
to provide high-quality customer service is strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $16.30 – $17.50
