Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, performs maintenance, repair, and preventative care on College-owned vehicles and grounds equipment. This position ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use across the College. Advanced repairs and specialized tasks may be assigned based on experience and training.
Qualifications:
- Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Mechanic Certificate required
- A.S.E. Certification preferred
- Two year college education preferred.
- Experience
- 2 + years’ experience as an automotive or small engine mechanic, or a combination of experience and education required.
- Knowledge of hand tools, ignition tune-up machines, welding equipment, and general automotive repair tools required.
- Minimally proficient in spoken English required.
- COD Training
- Hazardous Communications
- Forklift /Scissor /Aerial Lift
Working Conditions:
Hybrid Remote Eligible: No
Hiring Range:
7 Hourly/Starting salary beginning at $22.63/hourly.
Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
