Boise State University’s Division of Extended Studies is seeking a Military Programs Manager to lead recruitment, enrollment support, and site operations for active duty military students, with a primary on-site presence at Mountain Home Air Force Base. Extended Studies’ mission is to extend education beyond traditional boundaries, and this role helps advance that mission by strengthening access, support, and coordinated pathways for military-affiliated students. The Military Programs Manager will serve as a key relationship-builder between Boise State, military education partners, base leadership, and campus teams. This position will provide leadership and oversight for military student recruitment, Tuition Assistance and TA Promise processes, military education systems, and the on-site coordinator responsible for day-to-day logistics and National Testing Center operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, operational follow-through, and a commitment to improving the military student experience through sustainable systems, clear communication, and student-centered service.
Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Military Student Success Manager leads military student recruitment, enrollment support, and site operations for Boise State’s Enrollment and Student Success team. This position supervises professional staff, provides oversight for Boise State’s presence at Mountain Home Air Force Base, and supports service quality through the on-site coordinator responsible for logistics and National Testing Center operations. The role also supports Tuition Assistance, TA Promise, military education systems, and campus processes that improve access and support for active duty military students.

Boise State University’s Division of Extended Studies, Enrollment and Student Success team is seeking a Military Programs Manager to support the Military Programs team. This position will lead military student recruitment, enrollment support, and site operations. Extended Studies’ mission is to extend education beyond traditional boundaries, and this role helps advance that mission by strengthening access and support for active duty military students.
Level Scope:
Provides direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees at the entry or intermediate level. Functions as advisor to unit and administration and sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Analyzes and resolves problems based on prior experiences. Interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action. Supervises staff to assure accountability and stewardship of campus resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to military installations as required by the position, including Mountain Home Air Force Base. Continued access is required to perform the essential functions of this position and is subject to applicable installation access requirements, background screening, and identification requirements.

Salary and Benefits: Salary is $66,705.60 annually. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package, including (but not limited to):
