Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Stroke, Hypertension, Diabetes… With the increasing frequency of obesity and diabetes, especially in Georgia,
cardiovascular disease is reaching epidemic proportions. The Vascular Biology Center at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University
knows the demand is high for new and better treatments. Our internationally recognized team of research experts have one goal – to make
breakthroughs in the prevention and treatment of disease so that we all may live longer, healthier lives.
Job Summary
This position will provide professional and efficient administrative support. Assist with ordering and receiving supplies. Manage
department inventory. Manage department travel & PLA, OC-OA1/OA2. Assist with seminar itinerary, website updates and P-Card review and
allocations.
Responsibilities
The duties include but are not limited to:
MANAGE TRAVEL: Manage
department travel (Travel Authorizations, Travel Expense Statements), ensuring completion and submission in a timely manner, ensuring
travelers and expenses are allowed adhering to institutional, state, and award guidelines. Manage faculty Outside Professional Activity
time. Maintain database of PLA time and activities. Prepare OA1s & OA2s.
MANAGE INVENTORY: Manage department Inventory, to
include Equipment Loan Agreements, preparing and submitting the Annual Inventory to Asset Management, coordinating surplus property,
maintaining department inventory (additions, transfers, moves, etc).
PURCHASE CARD: Assist with review and allocation of
P-Card charges.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Assist with Seminar itineraries and travel arrangements. Assist with VBC website
updates. Serve as backup for Seminar and Journal Club manager.
: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
OR
High school
diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with a minimum of three years of progressively
responsible office support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience preparing itineraries and performing
website updates. AU administrative experience (travel, inventory) preferred.

Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of the standard
business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B3
Salary: $16.54/hourly-$19.86/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with
qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
