Summary

Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Strategic Initiatives, the Director of Parking
Services provides strategic leadership, vision, and oversight for the University’s comprehensive parking program. This includes the
management of parking operations, customer service, enforcement, infrastructure planning, financial administration, and policy development
for a system encompassing over 12,500 parking spaces across surface lots and parking structures. The Director ensures the delivery of
high-quality, customer focused services that support the University’s mission and evolving campus needs.

Essential
Functions


Develops and implements long-range plans and policies for parking operations, infrastructure, and technology to
support campus growth, sustainability, and accessibility goals.

Oversees all aspects of parking operations including permit systems,
garage management, enforcement, ticket processing, signage, and meter maintenance. Ensures efficient, safe, and customer-oriented service
delivery.



Directs the development and administration of departmental budgets exceeding $7 million. Oversees revenue generation, rate
setting, capital planning, and financial reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency.

Leads a diverse team of
professional, classified, and student employees. Responsible for recruitment, training, performance management, and organizational
development to foster a high-performing and inclusive workplace.



Manages the maintenance and capital improvement of parking
facilities, including surface lots and parking garages. Coordinates with Facilities and external vendors to prioritize and execute
projects.

Oversees the design, implementation, and auditing of parking technology systems including permit management, citation
processing, and financial tracking platforms.


Serves as the primary liaison to campus departments, local government, and community
stakeholders on parking-related matters. Represents the University in public forums and advisory committees.

Develops and enforces
departmental policies and procedures in alignment with University goals and regulatory requirements. Promotes continuous improvement and
innovation in service delivery.



Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of departmental operations. Ensures
compliance with affirmative action, equal opportunity, and non-discrimination policies.

Performs additional administrative and
leadership duties as required to support the mission of Campus Services and the University.



Other Functions

Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration,
public administration, transportation management, or a related field.


Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in
parking or transportation management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Class “D” Driver’s License.


Demonstrated experience in budget development, financial analysis, and revenue management.

Strong leadership, communication, and
interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.


Experience with parking technologies, data systems, and
customer service platforms. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Details


Reports directly to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Strategic Initiatives. Operates independently on day-to-day
matters and refers policy-level decisions to the Assistant VC.

Working Conditions


Work is performed in a
standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion.
