ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Recovery:
- In collaboration with Operations and Events Manager, manage/rotate inventory for Food Recovery from class production and academic and non-credit programming that must be used. Determine plan of action for preparation and storage.
- Prepare and pack food each week.
- Assist student staff and volunteers during each Food Recovery preparation session to ensure production, and proper clean up and storage of food and equipment.
- Track and log donated food.
- Assist with food safety and sanitation training for student staff and volunteers.
Small production/event/s (Events will be identified in advance of the start of the semester to account for time needed and planning and will focus on production.)
- Assist with planning and preparation with designated catering requests and events
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Current Serv Safe Manager Certification is required.
- Applicants must have a comprehensive understanding of working in a kitchen, mise en place, and execution.
