Job Description
The department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health is seeking a medical scribe to ensure accurate and complete medical
record information for each patient.
Accompany physician into the patient examination room when appropriate in order to transcribe a
history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and other present. List all proper diagnoses
and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician. Transcribe patient orders including
laboratory test, radiology tests, medications, etc. Chart provider/patient encounter in real time. Document any procedures performed by the
physician.
Shift
Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
With the ability to be flexible when needs
arise.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
from which comparable knowledge or abilities can be acquired is necessary.
Six (6) months experience as a Medical Scribe or 6 months
related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $15.00 – $17.00 hourly
Grade: PAT – 004
