Description



This position requires a background in a Humanities field (i.e. English, Literature, Philosophy, Art, Music, etc.). Job duties include tutoring students individually or in small groups in a Humanities subject, maintaining records of tutoring sessions, administering tests for faculty and maintaining testing records, overseeing student workers, and participating in supervisor approved training and professional development workshops.


Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in a Humanities field
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience tutoring students individually or in small groups
  • General working knowledge of common computer hardware/software; knowledge of programs like Blackboard and Google Suite preferred
  • Work collaboratively with the College of Humanities faculty and staff to provide high-quality services to students
