Short Description
The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator is responsible for assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency, continuing education, and leadership development. The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator functions as an instructor, coordinator and clinical resource to the staff and various OR locations within Cooper Heath System.
- Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using evidence-based standards and professional guidelines
- Assess the environment to determine educational needs of patients and perioperative personnel
- Coordinates and instructs the Periop 101 Program at Cooper University Health Care
Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years of OR experience; 1 year teaching preferred
Education Requirements
- BSN Required; MSN preferred
License/Certification Requirements
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
