GENERAL SUMMARY: This is a part-time position that works within the state of Missouri Correctional Facilities to provide support for prison education program students.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hold study hall for a set period of time, dependent on correctional facility
- Check high school equivalency information in AS 400
- Regularly review conduct violations of students for continued participation in AS400
- Manage the call out list for study hall each week
- Manage the Lantern class for communication for the correctional facility
- Assist students with questions
- Assist with registration and financial aid activities, as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Correctional facility experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently stand and/or sit for several hours consecutively.
- May work in buildings without elevator access, requiring routine use of stairways to move between floors.
- May work in areas of a facility without air conditioning.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Microsoft Office experience preferred, Canvas LMS experience preferred, AS400 experience preferred
OTHER INFORMATION AND ATTRIBUTES: This position may require travel, evenings, use of a personal vehicle, and required to enter a correctional facility.
