Primary Purpose of Position

This position serves as an employment
consultant for all matters associated with the recruitment, screening, and selection approval of SHRA and EHRA non-faculty employees in the
College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, specifically Agricultural Research and Cooperative Extension positions. A primary
responsibility of this role will be to provide professional consultation and training on recruitment policies, procedures, and best
practices to campus managers engaged in the process of hiring employees in these classifications. This position will be instrumental in
building our professional and support staff workforce and maintaining compliance to all federal, state, and university system employment
policies. This individual will be responsible for working closely with other HR Managers and Consultants in Class and Comp to ensure that
recruitment efforts align with the University’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. The Talent Solutions Consultant will work with the
Director of HR for Academic Affairs and departmental hiring managers in planning, developing, and implementing recruiting strategies. This
position will be responsible for the refinement of hiring processes and work flows to support operational efficiency. The position will
collaborate with HR for Academic Affairs and Talent Solutions team members to evaluate and streamline processes and develop innovative
recruitment strategies to create diverse high-quality candidate pools based on current and future University needs.

N.C. A&T is a public, land-grant, doctoral research institution and has been the largest

HR for Academic Affairs (HRAA) is responsible for the infrastructure and business processes associated with employee
recruitment, onboarding, position design and management, compensation alignment, and career progression review of instructional and research
faculty. HRAA team members consult with University departments/units concerning talent needs and strategies for staffing and improved
organizational effectiveness. In collaboration with the Academic, Budget, and Planning office, this team provides oversight to all faculty
HR matters, including permanent faculty and part-time instructors. The mission is to assist in the continuous improvement of HR processes,
procedures, and programs to deliver innovative and contemporary solutions consistent with the University’s strategic
initiatives.

Minimum Requirements


Bachelor’s degree and two years of progressively responsible professional
human resources management experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately
accredited institutions.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education


Prefer an additional 2 years
of experience in recruitment/employment/talent solutions. Demonstrated experience in developing and utilizing creative/innovative
recruitment techniques. Recruitment experience in a higher education setting. Familiarity with State of North Carolina and UNC system
policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations with regard to recruitment, selection, and employment Relevant professional
certification(s) such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or related. Excellent technical skills and demonstrated ability to learn new systems
quickly.
