Department Summary
Works in
Culinary Services promoting healthy eating and nutrition and assisting in creating individualized or group meal plans to ensure customers
obtain the nutrition they need and are well informed of healthy options. Creates and maintains updated nutritional information, cards, and
nutritional education programs. Assists in creating marketing material that promotes healthful dining in all Culinary venues. Provides
training programs to other staff as directed.
- Assists in the planning of base menus and special event menus to maximize
healthy options - Assists with research, testing, and evaluation of products for use in menu and recipe development.
- Coordinates the nutrient analysis and nutrition education programs.
- Creates and maintains nutrition cards and electronic
information for Culinary Services; provides updated information to staff on the latest findings in the field of nutrition and healthful
eating. - Works collaboratively with marketing to create materials that promote healthy eating.
- Educates customers on the
importance of nutrition, conducts nutrition education programs for Culinary staff and student meal plan holders. - Prepares reports
as requested. - Provides training to other staff.
- Actively contributes as a staff member to uphold the inclusion of all
people in daily work and interactions.

evaluates health education and screening programs to prevent illness and promote the health of the campus
community.

This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the
job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Healthcare professionals must hold, or be eligible for, appropriate licensure as required by
position.

Pay Rate: Salary is commensurate with
