Finance Administration


Job Description

This position provides
support to the Division of Finance and MU through the analysis of campus operational activities utilizing finance, HR, student and other
data. The position needs to be able to understand and analyze large sets of data as it relates to the revenue cycle and related costs for
all activities within the University. The position will work closely with a member of the MU Analytics team to develop reporting solutions
to meet the needs of campus.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Deliver reports either on a regular basis or as requested from
    management or college/school division: using Finance, HR, student and other data.
  • Data analysis of significant numbers of
    financial transactions in Student & Finance modules, including collaboration and participation in changes to distribution of revenue
    generating activities.
  • Perform tasks necessary for campus budget development and review; as well as for fiscal year-end closing.
  • Solve routine to complex problems and analyses, taking a new perspective on existing solutions
  • Exercise judgment based
    on the analysis of various inputs/sources of information
  • Ensures effective use of time across assigned projects. Excellent
    organizational skills with a keen orientation to detail and concern for accuracy, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks
    simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Perform assignments and responsibilities including query data, ad hoc reporting and recurring
    reporting needs of varying degrees of complexity and diversity
  • Systems and software used in performing basic responsibilities:
    PeopleSoft; Workday; Power BI; OfficeConnect


Shift

Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm


Minimum
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of
experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing the financial operations of a department/unit/organization.
  • Experience utilizing
    Workday, OfficeConnect and Power BI, or a similar budget management and reporting tool.
  • Proficient in business applications, such
    as MS Excel.
  • Ability to compile, model, and analyze large data sets and make meaningful recommendations to management/leadership.
  • Working knowledge of University Finance policies and procedures.
  • Customer focused and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Anticipated Hiring Range



Salary Range:
$65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year


Grade: GGS 010
