role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education,
licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable
estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Summary

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner leads full-lifecycle recruiting and strategic sourcing to
build diverse talent pipelines and deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience across WBUR. This role partners with team
leaders to anticipate hiring needs, execute targeted sourcing campaigns, and improve recruiting processes. This role will help scale
recruiting operations, strengthen partnerships across the organization, and position WBUR as an employer of choice for journalism and media
talent.



Primary Responsibilities

Staff Planning and Sourcing (40%)


  • Partner with key
    colleagues to understand specific business and department needs and establish a strong talent acquisition strategy, building diverse talent
    pipelines, and creating forward thinking staffing plans across the organization.
  • Advocate for external diversity partnerships and
    organizations and serve as a main point of contact.
  • Execute high touch candidate sourcing campaigns to uncover and engage
    candidates, and build diverse talent pipelines across journalism, radio, and related fields.
  • Coach hiring managers to identify and
    engage candidates through innovative marketing minded outreach methods, leverage existing/new networks (professional organizations, academic
    institutions, affinity groups, etc.) including representation at various media conferences.
  • Represent WBUR at industry and campus
    events; support fellowships and other early-career recruiting initiatives.

  • Introduce advanced sourcing tools, techniques, and
    channels to improve reach and pipeline quality

    Hiring and Interviewing (35%)

    • Develop and revise position
      descriptions with hiring managers and Talent & Culture colleagues, to meet strategic business needs.
    • Coach hiring managers on
      inclusive, effective hiring practices, structured interviews, diverse slates/panels, and timely candidate communication.
    • Screen
      candidates in partnership with the hiring manager and BU Talent Recruitment Services (TRS).
    • Market WBUR to candidates, explain
      compensation philosophy, support presentation of offer packages and salary negotiations.
    • Partner closely with BU teams (talent
      recruitment services, compensation, immigration, legal) to ensure compliant and smooth hiring processes.

    Systems, Processes
    and Evaluation (25%)


    • Maintain ATS data integrity in the applicant tracking system and produce recruitment metrics and reports
      (time to fill, pipeline health, diversity slates).
    • Support internship and early-career recruiting programs and manage related
      onboarding/ conversion activities.
    • Lead or participate in recruiting projects that strengthen WBUR’s employer brand.
    • Pilot
      and adopt new sourcing tools and methods to improve outcomes.
    • Participate in and manage special projects related to networking,
      recruitment, and promotion of WBUR as needed.
    • Support the work of the team by participating in a wide range of HR functions,
      ensuring seamless HR operations and contributing to a positive employee experience.


    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s
      degree or equivalent experience.
    • 8+ years full-cycle recruiting and sourcing experience in news, public radio, or other media
      organizations.
    • Proven success identifying and hiring experienced, diverse candidates.
    • Strong consultative skills with
      experience advising hiring managers using market data and industry research.
    • Proficiency with sourcing platforms (LinkedIn
      Recruiter, HireEZ, or similar) and web-based ATS systems (SilkRoad experience preferred).
    • Strong communication,
      relationship-building, coaching, and data-driven recruitment skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle confidential
      information, and work collaboratively.
    • Self-starter who operates well in a collaborative environment, navigates ambiguity, and
      influences stakeholders.
