Job
Summary:

The TRIO Student Success Advisor plays a vital role in supporting students who may face barriers to higher
education, including first-generation college students, students with limited income, and students with disabilities. This position provides
holistic advising and personalized support to help students persist, graduate, and successfully transfer to four-year institutions. The
advisor serves as a trusted resource, connecting students with academic, financial, career, and personal development opportunities that
promote long-term success.

In addition to direct student support, this role administrates TRIO Student Support Services programming,
manages key administrative and reporting functions, and contributes to program assessment and continuous improvement. The advisor
collaborates across the college to develop impactful student experiences while supporting the mission of expanding educational access and
achievement for underrepresented student populations.



This position is grant funded through Aug 30, 2030. Continuation of the
position is contingent upon continued funding.

Key Responsibilities


  • Provide comprehensive academic,
    transfer, financial aid, career, and personal success advising to TRIO participants.
  • Recruit, assess, and onboard eligible students
    into the TRIO Student Support Services program.
  • Develop and coordinate student success programming, workshops, events, and Summer
    Bridge initiatives.
  • Manage program data, reporting, budget-related activities, and assessment efforts to support program
    effectiveness.
  • Supervise student employees and contribute to a supportive, student-centered environment.

Minimum
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent amount of education and experience. An equivalency
    will not count towards the experience requirements below.
  • Experience in a higher education setting in postsecondary academic
    advising or program coordination, preferably working with underrepresented student populations including Students of Color, low-income,
    first-generation, and students with disabilities.
  • Experience engaging diverse student populations.
  • Experience with event
    planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of budget management and effective promotions.
  • Knowledge of student development theory,
    techniques, and research associated with engaging diverse student populations.
  • Knowledge of inclusive excellence and cross-cultural
    interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish goals and assess outcomes for programs and activities.
  • Ability to communicate
    effectively in both oral and written form as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bilingual
  • Familiarity with the mission and operation of Federal TRIO
    projects.

Work is generally performed in a standard
office environment. Travel may be required to perform duties related to this position, including but not limited to, attendance at meetings,
trainings, conferences, vendor engagements, and other institutional or professional activities as needed. May be required to work out of any
ACC campus location – Littleton, Parker, Castle Rock. Occasional after-hours or weekend work required. Occasional overnight travel and a
valid driver’s license are required.
