Overview

The Trojan Care Manager oversees the Food Pantry and Wellness Vending Machine, ensuring consistent food and essential resources for students. This position manages program operations, supervises student workers, and maintains partnerships that support food security and wellness initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities


Program Management

  • Lead daily operations of the EvCC Food Pantry and Wellness Vending Machine programs to ensure reliable and equitable access to basic needs resources
  • Supervise, train, and schedule student employees who support program operations and outreach activities
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external agencies, community organizations, and vendors to sustain food supply and program resources
  • Monitor inventory, storage, and food safety standards in coordination with College facilities and compliance guidelines
  • Evaluate program usage data and student feedback to improve service delivery and inform planning

Fiscal Oversight


  • Track, reconcile, and report program budgets in collaboration with the EvCC Foundation, Student Life, and Finance offices
  • Process purchases, reimbursements, and invoices in compliance with College and state procedures
  • Assist with identifying funding opportunities and preparing grant or sponsorship materials to sustain basic needs programming
  • Monitor donations, revenue, and expenditures to ensure accountability and resource transparency


Student Support

  • Provide students with information and referrals to campus and community services that address food, housing, and financial insecurity
  • Collaborate with the Student Campus and Community Resource Manager to support students applying for Basic Food, BFET, and emergency funding programs
  • Plan and facilitate workshops and outreach events focused on nutrition, wellness, and basic needs awareness
  • Serve as a visible and approachable campus contact for students seeking immediate basic needs support


General Duties

  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance program delivery and student success
  • Participate in committees, events, and initiatives that support student wellness and success
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations and meet the needs of the campus


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:


  • Associate degree in human services, social work, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Three (3) year of experience providing student services, resource navigation, or community-based support
  • Experience managing program operations, budgets, or projects that involve coordination with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations or service providers

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Skill in analyzing program data to inform decision-making and process improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and external partners to achieve shared goals
  • Commitment to supporting access to basic needs resources and student success

Terms of Employment

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Overtime eligible – FLSA non-exempt
  • Position is subject to Everett Community College policies and procedures.
  • Represented by Washington Federation of State Employees Union.
  • Performance will be evaluated after a six (6) month probationary period and annually.
