Essential Job Duties:
We are looking for a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day facilities operations on our campus. In this role, the candidate will keep university buildings running safely and efficiently by performing hands-on maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This is a great opportunity for a dependable technician who takes pride in their craft and wants to contribute to a campus community.
What You’ll Do:
Perform routine and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete timely repairs. Respond to maintenance requests and work orders across campus facilities. Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Required Qualifications:
Hands-on technical and mechanical experience in at least one of the following: electrical, plumbing, or HVAC. Ability to diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs. Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a university, institutional, or large facilities environment. Relevant certifications such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing license are a plus.
Required license or certification:
Required license or certification for technical and mechanical work.
Valid NC Driver’s License
