Video Capture & Production

  • Capture, record, and store video for all assigned
    baseball activities
  • Ensure all video is captured with consistency and quality to support player instruction and
    evaluation
  • Produce instructional, developmental, and scouting video packages as requested by the coaching
    staff

Video Library Management


  • Archive and maintain all baseball video in an organized,
    searchable database for present and future reference
  • Label, categorize, and organize video according to established departmental
    standards
  • Maintain historical player development libraries and opponent scouting archives
  • Ensure timely upload, backup, and
    preservation of all digital video assets

Player Development Support

  • Prepare individualized
    video packages that assist players with skill development and performance improvement
  • Assist coaches in developing instructional
    presentations utilizing video
  • Create side-by-side comparisons, sequencing edits, and developmental breakdowns
  • Deliver video
    resources that reinforce coaching instruction and player accountability
  • Support individual player meetings with organized and
    relevant video content

Technology Administration


Serve as the primary administrator for
Vanderbilt Baseball’s video and performance technology systems, including, but not limited
to:

  • BATS
  • TruMedia
  • Synergy
  • AWRE
  • TrackMan
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Edgertronic
    Cameras
  • Additional baseball technologies as assigned

Coach & Staff
Collaboration


  • Work collaboratively with all members of the coaching staff to support their respective areas of
    responsibility
  • Assist with advance scouting preparation and presentation materials
  • Produce game preparation and postgame
    review video
  • Develop visual resources for team meetings and instructional sessions
  • Anticipate the needs of coaches by
    preparing requested materials in a timely and organized manner
  • Support all departments within Vanderbilt Baseball through effective
    communication and collaboration

Education & Training

  • Educate coaches, players, and staff
    regarding the functionality and effective use of all video platforms
  • Assist student-athletes in understanding how video can
    accelerate learning and performance
  • Provide ongoing training regarding new software, equipment, and
    technology

Innovation & Continuous Improvement


  • Research and evaluate new video systems and
    baseball technologies that may improve player instruction and organizational efficiency
  • Recommend enhancements to existing workflows
    and video processes
  • Stay current with trends utilized throughout collegiate and professional
    baseball

Equipment Management

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and organization of all
    video equipment
  • Ensure cameras, computers, storage devices, and related technology remain functional and
    game-ready
  • Coordinate repairs and communicate equipment needs when
    necessary


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is
    necessary.
  • Working knowledge of applicable baseball video technology is necessary.
  • Exceptional
    organizational skills is necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills is
    necessary.
  • Ability to multi-task is necessary.
  • High level of professionalism is
    necessary.
