Position Highlights
The Dining Operations Analyst (Senior Dining Operations Specialist) position’s primary role is to support dining locations, warehouse and production kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of analytical skills to assist with preparation of spreadsheet reports using our food management system, POS system and vendor interfaces. The position assists with inventory maintenance in convenience stores.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and manage item numbers for convenience stores ensuring pack size, pricing increases/decreases and food cost are accurate.
- Maintain vendor ordering approval, approving or restricting items as determined by dining director.
- Review convenience store invoices and assist with invoice entry as needed.
- Track and submit interdepartmental billing documentation.
- Create and maintain procedures for all Dining Ops functions.
- Item and recipe cleanup.
- Manage, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
- Analysis of large databases costs using Excel.
- Provide preliminary analysis results through reports and summaries using the knowledge of data analysis and analytics.
- Makes critical observations and provides data interpretation.
- Support Food Management Data System.
- Dining Request Tickets – FoodPro access, LCS/Cost Issues, POS Programming, Larger Project Requests.
- FoodPro Calendar Programming.
- FoodPro Menu Programming and order guides.
- Location Cost Summary Reports and Production Run Prep.
- Maintain point of sale interfaces.
- Update cashier audit information and report discrepancies to the appropriate supervisors and interdepartmental billing.
- Manage ListServ maintenance.
- Assist Dining leadership in ad-hoc data projects and requests.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and proficiency in database systems and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally transports/moves a minimum of 30 pounds.
- Frequently reaches, lifts, carries, and pushes.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
