Description

Come produce audio content for WBHM’s broadcast, podcast, and digital streams as our new Local Producer. You’ll work primarily with the news team to develop, produce, publish, and promote weekly on-air shows or podcasts to repackage and showcase local reporting and/or content created by you. Additionally, you may be asked to produce assets for programming, marketing, and fundraising purposes as needed. This position requires a candidate with solid writing skills for broadcast, a keen ear for engaging content, and audio-editing capabilities. Does this sound like you If so, we want to hear from you.

To produce consistent and engaging content with a local focus for WBHM. To produce original audio and digital content that supports WBHM’s news and programming goals. To develop, publish, and promote weekly shows or podcasts to repackage or showcase local reporting. To produce assets for programming, marketing, and fundraising purposes as needed.



Key Duties & Responsibilities :


1. Produces original content and prepares materials for WBHM’s radio broadcast, streams, and digital platforms.



2. Assists with audio production tasks in programming, promotions, and news departments as needed.


3. Seeks opportunities to produce content that grows WBHM’s audience.



4. Participates in weekly news meetings and other station meetings.


5. Participates in station fundraising, including pitching during on-air fundraising as needed.



6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary range: $45,395 – $73,770

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Media, Communications or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirements.
