The Colorado School of Mines is seeking a Student Recruiting
Coordinator to play a key role in shaping the student hiring experience across campus. This is an exciting opportunity to help
implement and support a new, streamlined student employment process, partnering with departments campus-wide to deliver an
exceptional recruitment and onboarding experience.

About the Role
This position supports the full lifecycle
of student recruitment, from job posting through onboarding, while also helping train campus partners on best practices and
systems. You’ll collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition and work with departments across campus to ensure efficient, compliant, and
positive hiring experiences.
You will also play a key role in rolling out new student hiring processes and driving adoption
across campus, making this a highly visible and impactful position.
What You’ll
Do
Recruitment & Hiring Support (Primary Focus)
- Coordinate recruitment processes for student
positions, including drafting and posting job announcements and supporting hiring workflows - Support hiring managers and search
committees from recruitment through offer - Train campus partners on Workday and student hiring best practices
- Ensure a
seamless and positive candidate experience through proactive communication - Maintain applicant tracking systems (Workday/NeoGov),
ensuring compliance and documentation - Partner with Talent Acquisition to build effective and inclusive recruitment strategies
Onboarding & Experience
- Support onboarding and orientation of student employees
- Partner with
campus stakeholders to ensure new hires feel prepared, welcomed, and successful - Help improve onboarding programs based on feedback
and evolving needs
Reporting & Operational Support
- Generate recruitment metrics and reports
- Provide
HR administrative and front-facing support as needed - Assist with background check processes and general HR
operations

Four (4) years of relevant experience in an
occupation related to the work assigned to this position
OR
Education and Experience:

combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to four (4)
years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior State Service
- Experience working in Human
Resources - Experience working at an institute of higher education, preferably in a Human Resources environment
- Prior
experience using Workday highly preferred - Experience running pre-employment background checks via 3rd party vendor
relationships
Key Skills for Success
- Strong customer service skills across in-person, phone, and written
communication - Ability to manage multiple priorities and recruitment workflows simultaneously
- Experience navigating HR
systems (especially Workday) - Clear and professional written communication
- Ability to explain complex processes to diverse

Appeal
