The Associate Director reports to the
Director of Student Finances for the MBA Program and is primarily responsible for coordinating with Student Financial Services, the Loan
Office, Third-Party Billing, and the Registrar, with a focus on the financial experience of Wharton MBA and EMBA students.

Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide loan resources to students and monitors monthly reports related to
    loans, billing, programming, and student resources. This includes analyzing financial aid data and trends to support operational
    decision-making.
  • Provide strategic communication and resources to students based on feedback from the student population and changes
    in the lending landscape. The role also leverages technology and AI-assisted tools to enhance communication efficiency and
    consistency.
  • Support overall financial aid counseling, including financial planning and loan eligibility, and will present to
    prospective and admitted students during the admissions cycle and Wharton Welcome Weekends.
  • This position will have the opportunity
    to work as a part of a cross functional team in an innovative and data-driven environment.


Qualifications

  • BA and 2 to
    3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 5-7 years of experience strongly
    preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing financial aid and
    enrollment-related data to support operational decision-making is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience
    working with financial aid and student information systems such as Banner and Slate strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal,
    communication, presentation, and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively counsel and support diverse student populations in
    a fast-paced environment.

$58,506.00 – $70,000.00 Annual Rate
Salary offers are made based on
the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in
alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also
considered.
