The PantherDining at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Cook I. The Cook I
prepares and follows daily prep sheets and recipes according to Chef and FoodPro.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:


This position ensures food quality
and safety requirements are met in accordance with all standards. Maintains a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of
time. This position may be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both backup for a
department as well as to supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
INCLUDE:


  • Monitors and controls product on lines.
  • Adheres to set guidelines, policies, and time
    schedules.
  • Prepares next shift for success (including but not limited to restocking, cleaning, fresh sanitizer, clean utensils and
    cooking tools).
  • Utilizes LeanPath for all discarded food waste.
  • Accurately completes production sheets and service records
    in accordance with food production.
  • Works stations in a clean, organized, and sanitized manner.
  • Utilized FIFO inventory
    practices, correct product labeling, and storage guidelines.
  • Assists in maintaining food storage areas in a clean, organized, and
    sanitized fashion.
  • Assist in adhering to and accurately completing food production and service records.
  • Completes station
    checklists, side duties, and special clean ups as assigned.
  • Participates in ongoing development and food safety training for
    staff.
  • Assists in the training and development of new employees.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED and 1 year of experience working in institutional quantity
    cooking.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking,
    ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all temperature
    conditions.
  • Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $$31,200 – $32,100. Salary offers
will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications in relation to the Minimum Hiring Standards. Candidates earlier in their careers
are typically offered salaries closer to the minimum of the hiring range, while those with more advanced or relevant experience may be
considered for compensation at or above the hiring range.
