General Summary

Assists in planning, organizing and implementing the operations of the Academic Success Center and its services. Implements effective academic support services for students and coordinates the delivery of multiple support services, including the Supplemental Instruction Program, Writing Coaches, Tutoring Program, Skill Builder, and other programs offered through the Academic Success Center. Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.



Essential Functions

Assists the Academic Success Center Director in developing, managing, and implementing support services of the Academic Success Center; Assists in managing the day to day operations, including oversight and accuracy of essential data collection, of the Academic Success Center. Specific support services include but are not limited to: Supplemental Instruction Program, Writing Coaches, Tutoring Program, Academic Skill Builder program, and study skill support.

Develops and coordinates all operations of the Tutoring Program (approximately 8-15 tutors per semester), to include recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision.

Assists in the coordination and instruction of the Academic Skill Builder Program year-round and collaborates with Admissions and Enrollment teams to make Skill Builder available to prospective students. Hires and schedules tutors, provides instruction, advises students enrolled, and assists in making decisions regarding the organization of the Skill Builder Program.

In consultation with the Associate Dean of Student Success and Enrollment Management and the Academic Success Center Director, promotes student retention and success. Supports student intervention efforts such as Early Alert and Academic Recovery. Serves as an Academic Recovery Specialist.

Utilizes services in other college departments including design, printing, and digital signage, developing promotional materials that market the services of the Academic Success Center.

Assists with developing promotional materials to market the services of the Academic Success Center. Conducts tours and presentations regarding the services of the Academic Success Center to faculty, staff, prospective and current students, parents, and campus visitors.



Essential Functions

Collaborates with Student Success and Enrollment staff to provide a comprehensive and complimentary system of services to students with the goal of academic success and retention. Assists with campus events, including but not limited to orientations, registrations, ACTIONS Day, and commencement. May serve as an advisor for student clubs and organizations.
