Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Position purpose:
The purpose of the
Administrative Assistant role is to facilitate the work of Offices of External Engagement, Deputy University Counsel, Community and
Government Relations, Risk Management and Compliance by providing administrative support.
Essential Functions:
1.
Perform administrative support tasks including but is not limited to budget management, managing schedules and calendars, leave reporting,
making travel arrangements, assisting in preparation of presentations, maintaining lists of key contacts, screening and handling telephone
communications, greeting and directing visitors, maintaining currency of webpage content, and dealing with problems and inquiries as
appropriate.
2. Serve as a primary point of direct administrative contact and liaison with other offices, individuals, and external
institutions and agencies on a range of issues.
3. Support efforts to organize meetings, conferences, and other special events,
including preparation of materials for meetings, correspondence announcing meetings, arranging meeting facilities, and preparing agendas.
4. Manage and maintain MVR reporting processes, WeGo registration and ticketing distribution and reporting.
5. Provide
administrative support and communications for meetings including preparation of materials for meetings, correspondence announcing meetings,
arranging meeting facilities, and preparing agendas.
6. Assist Project Specialist as needed.
7. Provide assistance to and
liaison with other offices in the resolution of day-to-day administrative support issues as appropriate.

ability to deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience. Ability to convey information clearly and
concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message. Ability to
listen and respond appropriately to others. Ability to impact and influence others to further the institution’s strategic objectives. - Technical, Computer, and Software Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic databases and software.
