About This Role
This position
exists to ensure the accuracy of data within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), as well as administration and compliance with
federal, state, university, and Kansas Board of Regents policies and regulations regarding employees hired at Kansas State University. The
incumbent is a Resource Center & Operations Representative for designated departments, providing information and guidance regarding hourly
student, graduate student, unclassified and university support staff employee transactions and policies. Incumbent is responsible for
Extension and other affiliated employee data in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). In addition, they process all student
transactions for the three local agencies affiliated with K-State.
Jobs & Responsibilities
- Responsible
for reviewing, auditing, and processing personnel transactions in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate employee
data. Verifies transaction accuracy, reviews payroll and system edit reports, maintains data integrity for university and state reporting,
communicates with department liaisons to resolve discrepancies, and updates records to ensure compliance with university and regulatory
requirements. - Ensures compliance with Federal, State, University, and Kansas Board of Regents policies by reviewing employment
documentation for accuracy and completeness. - Processes and maintains personnel transactions for affiliated employees, including KSU
Research & Extension and Foundation organizations, using specialized hiring procedures. - Reviews and processes student employee
transactions for multiple affiliated local agencies, ensuring compliance with organization-specific policies and procedures.

The division includes approximately 50 professionals delivering strategic and operational HR services to the campus
community. Key functional areas include ASC-HR, Benefits, Compensation and Organizational Effectiveness, Employee Relations and Engagement,
ERP Systems, Resource Center Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent and Organizational Development, and Time and Leave. Together, these
teams partner with campus units to provide responsive HR support, enhance organizational effectiveness, and help attract, develop, and
retain a talented workforce.

This position is Hybrid and/or Remote
Eligible
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable
to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and two years of relevant
experience - Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally
and in writing. - Ability to interpret, apply and explain technical rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Strong computer
skills with ability to use spreadsheet and word processing software and to integrate such data. - Ability to work with critical
deadlines and perform multiple tasks with frequent interruption. - Duties need accuracy using analytical and problem-solving
techniques.
