This position will manage and provide support for a grant-funded project designed to develop a partnership between VCU and RISE for Youth
to lay the groundwork for a broader study of system-involved youth in Virginia. The project includes meeting with current and prospective
community partners; scheduling, coordinating and attending meetings with young people and their families; creating an advisory group;
communicating with the public and broader community; assisting with focus groups; writing reports; recruiting participants and partners; and
planning and launching a community event.

Hours per week:10-15 hour


Flexible Work
Arrangements:
Primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings in Richmond, VA

Responsibilities
include


  • Managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities for the project
  • Daily communication with the
    project supervisor
  • Weekly communication with project partners
  • Weekly networking with community members
  • Task
    planning and management
  • Maintaining calendar and schedule for all activities, meeting deadlines
  • Internal and external
    communications with project staff and stakeholders
  • Event planning
  • Report writing
  • Maintaining records
  • Helping to design and conduct focus groups

Required qualifications:

  • Experience working with
    a community organization
  • Experience working with young people
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office products or similar software
  • Attention to detail
  • Quick learner
  • Multitasker
  • Experience with virtual meeting software
  • Flexible schedule

Preferred qualifications:


  • Proficiency with Salesforce software
