The Administrative Assistant III provides advanced-level administrative, operational and program
support for the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center’s educational and training initiatives and the Director’s Office. The position
coordinates a broad range of activities related to trainee programs, student engagement, academic outreach, seminars and workshops,
recruitment initiatives, onboarding processes, travel coordination, communications, and program operations, including the Education and
Training Program and the Summer Fellowship Program. Additional duties may include support for grant-related activities, operational
committees, and special projects within the Director’s Office.
Responsibilities
* Proficient computer skills and
a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
* Proficiency with general
office equipment (copy machine, fax machine, printers, etc.)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent
organizational and time management skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments
*
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Two (2) years of relevant administrative experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree
* Working knowledge of data management and/or digital design
software applications
* Administrative experience in an academic environment
