Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant III. This position coordinates business operations & administrative processes for the Accounting and Law department within the Mike Cottrell College of Business. This position provides comprehensive administrative & operational support, including scheduling, travel coordination, purchasing, student support, & day-to-day office management. In addition, this position is responsible for administrative duties related to the MCCB Graduate Programs, the MBA & MAcc programs, as well as engagement with external constituents of the MCCB Graduate Programs. This role requires strong organizational, communication & problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment while maintaining professionalism & attention to detail. Works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, & university offices to support the overall success & operational efficiency of the ACLA department & MCCB Graduate Programs.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative & operational support to the Accounting & Law department; working closely with department head. Supports the department head in the course scheduling process by entering approved schedules into Banner, maintaining scheduling records, & assisting with the verification of course assignments, meeting times, & related scheduling information.
- Support faculty with travel coordination, scheduling, purchasing, classroom logistics, catering requests, space reservations, & other administrative needs. Monitor/process all reimbursements for ACLA faculty and students.
- Provide administrative support for the MBA Coordinator, including assisting with activities such as scheduling classes, responding to student inquiries, process reimbursements & purchases & other duties assigned.
- Provide front-line support to students by assisting with academic, registration, & communication-related matters while helping ensure a positive & responsive student experience.
- Oversees candidate recruitment visits for departmental search committees. Process/monitor all expenditures related to hiring.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) & Zoom
- Ability to manage multiple tasks & meet deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required.
- One year of clerical or administrative experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Higher education administrative support experience preferred
Proposed Salary
Salary Range: $18.34 – $20.17
